Day 1

Airport → Anuradhapura (4 hours drive)

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and embark on a scenic drive to Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s first ancient capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check into your accommodation and take an introductory evening walk around the sacred city. Visit the Sri Maha Bodhi tree, believed to be over 2,300 years old and grown from a branch of the original Bodhi tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment.

Anuradhapura Archaeological Wonders

Full day in Anuradhapura

Explore the magnificent ruins of this ancient kingdom dating back to the 4th century BC. Visit the towering Ruwanwelisaya and Jetavanaramaya stupas, ancient monasteries, and intricate stone carvings. Discover the Twin Ponds (Kuttam Pokuna) with their advanced ancient engineering, and explore Isurumuniya Rock Temple with its famous rock carvings. Day 3

Wildlife Safari in Wilpattu National Park

Anuradhapura → Wilpattu → Trincomalee (5 hours total with safari)

Early morning departure to Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka’s largest and oldest national park. Enjoy a thrilling safari through diverse ecosystems including dense jungle, grasslands, and natural lakes (villus). Spot leopards, elephants, sloth bears, spotted deer, and over 200 bird species. After the safari, continue to the coastal town of Trincomalee, known for its pristine beaches and natural harbor.

Day 4

Trincomalee Beach & Cultural Sites

Full day in Trincomalee

Relax on the beautiful beaches of Trincomalee, consistently ranked among the world’s finest natural harbors. Visit the ancient Koneswaram Temple perched on Swami Rock with stunning ocean views. Day 5

Sigiriya Rock Fortress Adventure

Trincomalee → Sigiriya (3 hours drive)

Journey to Sigiriya and prepare for one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic experiences. Climb the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rising 200 meters above the surrounding plains. Day 6

Day 7

Colombo City Tour & Departure

Kandy → Colombo → Airport (4 hours total)

Morning departure to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s commercial capital.
